Before the class starts, I went to see a bit of Bordeaux and it was breathtaking!
Bordeaux is just 3 hours away by train or about 2 hours away by plane from Paris. It’s also the second city next to Paris where you can find over 300 historical landmarks with some buildings dating back to Roman times.
Before my french classes started, I went to see most of the touristic places. The Grand Théâtre, Église Notre-Dame, Rue de Saint Catherine, Place du Parlement, Place de la Bourse, Miroir d’Eau, and Porte Cailhau.
I still have a lot to see in my new home and I will definitely show it you in time.

It is somewhat my third home, been in and out for the last 13 years and my longest stay was for about 4-5 months last year along the west coast. I have only passed through Bordeaux on my way down to the Pyrenees. I have to make it a point to visit it next time. All the best to your french classes.

February 11, 2017 at 11:14 AMI concur! It was one of the most beautiful cities we visited when we were in the region. Although it’s a very big city, you don’t have the feeling you’re getting ‘choked’ by everybody around you. I loved the dancing waterfountains!
