Lovers in Paris

After almost 7 months of being away from each other, he was finally able to visit me here!

I was in a long distance relationship since I moved here in Bordeaux. Then a few months after, he came to Europe. Once settled with his new life abroad, we made plans in meeting as soon as he can. You can check his story in his personal blog here.

We agreed that I would pick him up at the Paris Airport because I wasn’t sure if he’d be able to meet me at the city. From Bordeaux, I took an early train to Paris, then took the metro and then the RER transfer to the airport. It almost took 5 hours to reach it but it was all worth it. 😉

It was already around mid-day when we met and had only a few hours left to see the city before we head back to Bordeaux. So I only took him to places that were easily accessible to us. From the airport, we headed straight to the Notre Dame Cathedral.

By the way, we never went inside to all the places that we went to because there wasn’t enough time.

Afterwards, we walked all the way to the Louvre Museum. We grabbed a quick-lunch at a crêpe restaurant near the museum. From there, we took another metro train to see the Arc de Triomphe and try to get that perfect empty street (sort-of) shot. When we failed, we decided to move on to our last itinerary which was the Eiffel Tower.

It was amazing to see the Eiffel tower with the one you love. It’s cliché, but I just can’t help it, especially when you’re in the most romantic places on earth. We were just so happy to be together again, even though we had a short trip in Paris. At least I got to spend a week with him in Bordeaux.  😉

Love, J.

  1. Awwwww, so adorable! 🙂 Glad you got to see your bf amiga, I know it must be hard being apart. Gloria and I went through the same situation…

  2. It’s the sweetest thing I’ve seen today. I don’t know you both but I’m so in love with your story. I was also in a long distance relationship before and I believe long distance works if two people love to work it out despite the distance that keeps them apart.Stay in love! Truly, lovers in Paris! #lovewins

  3. This is nice. The pictures are nice and the both of you really look so happy in here. But the snow, I bet it is really cold in here. I might not be able to stand even with 3 layers of sweater! Great post 🙂

  4. Your smile says it all! I am happy for you, I personally do not know what it feels, but I cannot help but feel kilig whenever I see people being with the one they love. And where else to best spend time with your loved one but in the city of love itself!

  5. Awww! I just felt in love with you guys! Paris is indeed the City of Love and it is the perfect place for you to have a vacation. Would love to bring my partner there soon, too! <3

    1. Thanks Ash! It was a just a quick itinerary if you’re not really in a hurry. I’m thinking of posting a more detailed itinerary when I have time 🙂 Cheers!

  8. Oh! You guys look adorable together. I can well understand the feelings you have on seeing your love after a long time and that also at such an adorable place.

  9. You guys look adorable! And sweet! Paris is the first country in Europe I traveled with my then-boyfriend-now-husband. I have to agree with you. It feels amazing to see the Eiffel Tower with our loved one. All the best to you guys!

  10. You could not have chosen a better city for your reunion. Paris must indeed be one of the most romantic cities in the world. The Notre Dame is indeed a magnificent structure, a pity you could not make it inside. But I am sure you will be heading back soon. Suggest you do a boat cruise on the Seine on one of the evenings, whenever you get back to Paris. One of the most romantic experiences in Paris.
